• Investigative Panel Reviews Financial Records, Finds No Evidence of Misconduct
• Executive Committee Urges Public to Disregard Defamatory Rumours and Publications

ABEOKUTA — The Management Committee of the Federal Medical Centre United Staff (Abeokuta) Co-operative Multi-purpose Society Limited has officially cleared its President, Dr. Olusanjo Olugbenga Rotimi, of all allegations concerning fraud and financial misconduct.

The decision brings to a definitive end months of intense speculation and internal scrutiny within one of the state’s most prominent institutional co-operative bodies. The allegations were tied to a 2021 contractual relationship between the co-operative society and an investment firm, Whitehorse Capital Limited.

In a formal public notice released by the society’s secretariat, the leadership revealed that the decision to clear the President followed a rigorous and uncompromising internal review. The process was initiated to protect the integrity of the institution and maintain absolute transparency.

According to the official dispatch, the claims were subjected to a meticulous forensic audit by a specially constituted Investigative Committee. This panel was tasked with examining every facet of the contentious 2021 transaction to ascertain the veracity of the claims.

The Investigative Committee reportedly spent weeks reviewing a vast array of relevant financial records, bank statements, ledger entries, and legal documents. Every piece of paperwork connected to the engagement with Whitehorse Capital Limited was placed under microscopic evaluation.

Following this exhaustive exercise, the panel concluded that there was absolutely no evidence implicating Dr. Rotimi in any fraudulent activity or underhanded financial dealings.

The findings effectively dismantled the narrative of financial impropriety that had begun to brew within certain quarters.

Furthermore, the committee’s final report explicitly stated that there was no proof linking the co-operative president to acts of embezzlement or the misappropriation of organizational funds.

The financial health and assets of the society were found to be entirely intact and accounted for.

The report emphasized that all transactions executed during the period under review followed due process and aligned with the established guidelines governing the co-operative’s financial engagements. No backroom deals or unauthorized diversions of capital were detected.

Based on the definitive findings of the investigative panel, the Management Committee moved to formally and unconditionally clear Dr. Rotimi of all allegations. The leadership expressed total confidence in his administrative stewardship and financial integrity.

With the controversial chapter now officially closed, the society has issued a strong appeal to its members and the general public. The management urged stakeholders to completely disregard any lingering rumours or malicious publications suggesting otherwise.

The leadership described the initial allegations as unsubstantiated distractions that ran contrary to the documented facts of the matter. They warned that continued spreading of such falsehoods would only serve to damage the hard-earned reputation of the cooperative.

In its public notice, the society reiterated that its internal mechanisms remain robust and capable of policing its own affairs. The prompt investigation and subsequent publication of the findings were cited as proof of this institutional strength.

The statement further reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Federal Medical Centre United Staff Co-operative to the core values of transparency, accountability, and fairness. The leadership emphasized that these principles remain non-negotiable in the conduct of its daily business.

Observers within the medical and financial sectors in Ogun State have noted that the clear-cut exoneration will likely restore full confidence among the co-operative’s extensive membership, who rely on the body for financial security and credit facilities.

The comprehensive public notice, which effectively puts to rest the administrative storm, was officially dated May 19, 2026. Its issuance marks a vital step toward restoring total administrative normalcy to the union’s leadership.

The document bore the official endorsement of the society’s Secretary, who signed on behalf of the entire Executive Committee of the Federal Medical Centre United Staff (Abeokuta) Co-operative Multi-purpose Society Limited.

As news of the clearance spreads across the capital city, solidarity messages from various departments within the Federal Medical Centre have begun pouring in for Dr. Rotimi, with many praising his resilience throughout the probe.

With this development, the current administration of the co-operative is expected to refocus its energies entirely on its core mandate of improving welfare packages and driving investment returns for its numerous members.

The management has promised to host an all-inclusive stakeholders’ meeting in the coming days to brief members directly on the committee’s specific findings and to map out the society’s future financial projections.

Meanwhile, legal experts hinting at the development have noted that the clear exoneration gives the co-operative president a clean bill of health, legally protecting both his professional standing and his continued leadership of the prestigious society.
